Brixington Blues Under-16s resisted a determined effort from the Twyford Spartans to record an impressive 3-1 victory over a side playing in an older age group.
The Blues started brightly and grabbed the opening goal when a shot from Jack Drew-Cull was well saved, with the rebound falling perfectly for Oliver Bradley to tap home.
Twyford responded with a well-taken leveller but that merely kickstarted the Brixington boys, who regained the lead when a Bradley corner was met with a sublime touch and finish from Ethan Hawes.
Brixington maintained their momentum in the second half and sealed victory when Hawes smashed in a fantastic strike from distance.
Goalkeeper Russ Bracey also made some tremendous saves on the day and the Blues can now move forward to the First Round of the Devon Cup against Sidmouth.
