Breading lands Woodbury Park weekend medal competition.

THE Woodbury Park Men's weekend medal competition had a very good turn-out, writes Carole Pye.
The first division winner was John Breading who had the same 68 net as Pete Jeffery but won with the lowest gross.
The second division was taken by Mark Hayne, with a net score of 69 followed by Andrew Rowden (74).
Garry Batten took the third division with a net 66 followed by Chris Wright (70).
The ladies’ division was won by Trish Chattey with an excellent net score of 70 with Carol Harris (74) second.
As usual, the mid-week stableford competition had a very good attendance. The winner was Paul Newcombe with 41 points with Pete Symes second on 40.
The ladies’ Presidents team travelled to Dainton Park where the advantage to the home side proved too strong but playing away at Bigbury, the ladies Sheelah Creasy team edged a hard fought match, winning 4-3.
Avril Glover and Angela Mullerworth progress to the next round of the Doris Willes-Little cup after beating Tiverton ladies on a neutral course.
The Seniors’ June Cup was won by Colin Burford with 43 points, edging out Ian Fry (42)
