Police Social Club A opened up a six points lead at the top of the Exmouth Snooker League after a 4 frames to 1 victory over the Police B.
But, after the loss of the opening frame to Frank Kelsey 67-29, the three wins for Carl Rowsell 61-51, Mick Jordan 58-44 and Pete Abrahams 75-65 were all decided on the black. Rob Pow’s win, 62-46, was more decisive.
East Budleigh ‘B’ stay second thanks to the three wins for Jamie Gulliford 74-31, Mervyn Long 59-35 and Duane Greenslade 68-35 on the Police ‘C’ table. The margin of victory was limited by the replies from John Parrott 61-56 and John Anderson 52-34.
Conservative Club are 5th, but, with a game in hand. John Sharland 76-67, Iain Callander 69-53 and Kevin Proctor 55-11 were denied further spoils by Alan Farrant 83-60 with two breaks of 27 and Kev Luxton 54-21 from East Budleigh ‘A’.
