EXMOUTH'S Billie Denny has earned a black belt at the tender age of just 10 years old. Billie has trained for the last five years with the Free-Spirit Freestyle Karate Club (Exmouth).
EXMOUTH'S Billie Denny has earned a black belt at the tender age of just 10 years old.Billie has trained for the last five years with the Free-Spirit Freestyle Karate Club (Exmouth). Instructor Jon Collins said the commitment shown by Billie to reach her junior black belt is amazing. "It is an outstanding achievement to gain a black belt at any age but, for someone so young, it is exceptional," said Collins."Myself and fellow instructor Bob Hagan have great respect for Billie and are extremely proud of her."Billie has trained two or three times a week over, adding a fourth night when sparring training was needed for the many kickboxing competitions she has competed in all over the country.She has won major British titles at a young age, which was not easy as she has competed against boys and older, bigger girls. Billie has always fought with great courage and excellent skill. Free-Spirit Martial Arts Club train at Knappe Cross Community Centre, Tuesday and Thursday nights for infants, juniors and adults.
