The reopening of judo classes at Exmouth Judo Centre has seen a surge of new members ‘taking to the mat’.
Devon’s judo ace John Goldman, Black Belt 7th Dan, and his daughter Ruth, 5th Dan, run classes at the Exmouth Sports Centre.
“I have been so impressed with the effort of all the children that, although we haven’t had a full year on the mat, we decided to run our annual awards evening,” said John
Exmouth Town Crier Roger Bourgein was on hand to award the prizes. “I was most impressed with the dedication of the youngsters and how, big or smaller, they worked together was a credit to all,” said Roger.
Any boys and girls, age four up, who would like to have a free go, should contact Ruth on 07981794057
Prize winners were: Effort - Ezra Ewins; Etiquette - Blue Cameron; Spirit - Emmie Wright; Perseverance - Thomas Humphries; Most Improved - Milo Ewins.
