THE final act of the Ladies' year at East Devon Golf Club was a 'Secret Santa' competition played over 9 holes.

Each pair played a better ball format and then the scores were added to another drawn 2 ball team.

The winners were Frances Hurrell and Sue Smith paired with Anne Southcott and Josie Hall.

For her brilliant score of net 67 at the Autumn meeting, Annie Dent has been presented with the 'Rose Spoon'.

This is given at National level for the best medal score in September in the whole country.

It is indeed quite an honour for the club to have a player achieiving such status.

Hazel Munyard was the 'Golfer of the Year' in Bronze division after an amazing year's golf.

Hilary Greenaway has won the Silver division equivalent, this for the 5th time in the last 10 years and that represents a quite magnificent achievement.

Charlotte Drake handed the baton of Captaincy over to Hilary Shiels for 2009, wishing the club continued success in the New Year.
