Angell and Long set Exmouth rowers on their way to stunning Plymouth regatta success

EXMOUTH Rowing Club sent competitors down to compete in the annual Plymouth regatta.

It proved to be a superb day for the Exmouth oarsmen and women as they returned with a cluster of first place finishes.

The first win of the day was claimed once again in the Men’s Novice Doubles by the dynamic duo; Charlie Angell and Chris Long.

In the Mixed Coxed Fours, scratch crew; Charlie Angell, Jack Davey, Sophie Medlock and Sophie Douglas came in a well deserved first place after tough competition throughout from the other crews.

Charlie Angell came in at fourth place in the Men’s Senior C single final as did Chris Long in the Men’s Single Novice race.

Jack Davey also came a credible fifth place in his second J18 Single Race, indicating a promising future.

Coach and Club Captain, Brian O’Dea who coxed the mixed four to victory, stated how he was incredibly pleased with the results and expressed his delight that everyone who raced claimed at least one first place finish.
