Wendy Watkis marked her 90th birthday with a tennis match at Budleigh Salterton Tennis Club.
The avid sports enthusiast took part in her usual Tuesday roll-up session followed by Prosecco and cake, which was made by fellow member, Jane Bennett.
Ms Watkis, who has been a club member for 12 years, regularly plays tennis two to three times a week. She gets enormous pleasure from playing, not only for the exercise but also for the fun and friendship which has kept her going through good times and bad.
She said: "Joining the Budleigh Salterton Tennis Club was the best thing I ever did."
