There was a fantastic turnout at a chilly Exmouth parkrun with over 30 Exmouth Harriers volunteering and taking on all the pacers roles from 18 minutes to 40 minutes, plus the tail-walking roles.

Later that day, Josh Sale and Jamie Ellor raced in a 10km night-time trail race through Haldon Forest with beer, mince pies and medals for the finishers! It was over a very hilly course and unfortunately Josh was mis-directed en-route and ended up doing almost an extra 1/2 mile.

Carrie Webb had her first outing in a Harriers vest at the Farnborough Half Marathon and finished in great time of 1:50:31.

Exmouth Harriers were represented in two events over the previous weekend; Oh My Obelisk, a multi-terrain 1/2 Marathon event hosted by Dawlish Coasters and the fourth race in the 2023/24 Westward League Cross Country series at Westward Ho!

Five Harriers took part in the Oh My Obelisk! then took an extremely hilly route up to Mamhead Obelisk, traversing stunning woodland with beautiful views before descending back to the finish at the Dawlish Leisure Centre.

After a dry week leading up to the event, it was a soft but stable course. On the day, the hill provided all the warmth from the start. Dawlish Coasters did a splendid job with a very well-marked and marshalled course with a friendly atmosphere. Well done and thank you to them.
