Young players from Budleigh Salterton FC have made the move to join Exmouth United, with the Robins not hosting any youth teams this season, writes SpursTom.
Thankfully, the squad who played at U8s and U9s in the past two seasons will not be deprived of their football. Manager/coach Luke Kelsall, and his two assistants, Matt Haywood and Matthew Fogaty, have taken them to become Exmouth United U10s for season 2023-2024.
They will have two teams to be known as Exmouth United Reds and Exmouth United, playing in the Exeter and District Youth League, U10s Eastern Division. Once again, because of the age group, there will be no official results or League Table.
The Cricket Club at Budleigh Salterton has come up trumps, allowing them to use the facilities for their home matches. While it is a shame for Budleigh Salterton FC, the important thing is regular football for these young players.
