The third Westward League cross country races in the 2023/24 series were held at Exeter’s Exhibition Fields with the Devon County AA Championships included within them.

Exmouth Harriers had five women and eight men racing over the very muddy 6km and 8km strength-sapping courses and were heard to say afterwards that it was the toughest race so far in the 2023/24 series.

Hannah Bown, Jenny Reay, Nicola Kelly, Liz Michaelson and Sarah Baldwin competed in the Women’s 6km race. Jenny Reay continued her recent marvellous form in taking the Gold Medal in the Devon W65 age category.

Dave Stone, Nathan Sheehy, Mac McNaghten, Craig Butler, Jimmy Joy, Julian Nelmes, Hugh Marsden and Neil Collins competed in the Men’s 8km race.
