In a tightly packed table in the Exmouth Snooker League, Police Social Club ‘C’ hold a single point lead, due largely to John Evens 50-40, Bob Alexander 69-53, John Parrott 80-58, Eric James 50-47 and Terry Brown 44-23 taking maximum points from the Police ‘B’.

But, next up, they lost the opening frames to Carl Rowsell 80-65, Rob Pow 55-51 and Steve Spinner 46-32 of un-beaten Police ‘A’, before John Parrott 60-1 and Terry Brown 82-54 kept the losing margin to a single point.

Sharing second place, Police ‘D’ captured four wins on the East Budleigh ‘A’ table through John Sharland 84-74, Iain Callander 62-44, Craig Wilson 85-55 and Dave Lance 80-39, denied maximum points by Mervyn Long 64-40.

They then suffered their second defeat in four as Craig Wilson 45-32 and Dave Lance 87-83 were taken to five frames by Dave Thomas 69-57 and David Binmore 77-24, before Phil Rowsell snatched the Police ‘B’s first win so far 56-55.
