A group of 18 walkers and support drivers are taking the eight-day march from Exeter to Wembley for footy mad Luke Johnston for the England vs Italy international game on October 17, raising funds for a life extending vaccine after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer earlier this year.
After breaking £50k in three weeks, the fundraising efforts from teams and individuals across the UK and Ireland has just ticked over 100k in run up to the “main event” March to the Arch, which sees close friends, family and coworkers of Luke Johnston take on the mammoth walk from Exeter City’s training ground to Wembley stadium next month.
With every step, the walkers will be raising awareness and funds for this ground-breaking treatment, giving Luke and other cancer patients like him a chance to fight this disease and live a full and happy life. Support Luke and his friends here www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/marchforourmate
