Earlier this month, history was made by the first Exmouth Town girls teams representing the town in league matches (under 13 and under 15).

Back in the autumn, coach Chris Eynon wanted to give the local girls an opportunity play football, make friends and have fun. Seven girls turned up at the first training session and word soon spread with Exmouth girls football growing and growing.

Fast forward to a weekend on the pitch and two girls teams have entered the league at ages under 13 and under 15. It continues to be an amazing journey and a great story of inclusion and equality. A huge thanks to Chris, the other coaches, Exmouth Town FC, sponsors, parents and of course the girls for making this happen.

Girls football is growing every day and it is fantastic to see Exmouth Town taking the game to a new level.
