After a great opening day win at North Tawton last week, Exmouth Town U15s opened their league home league campaign at Warren View in emphatic style, beating Moors U15s 8-1.
Town conceded early after a slow start but soon found their rhythm, Will Standen bundling home a corner from Kai MacManus
Captain Tommy Barrow edged Exmouth in front and Nathan Briggs made it 3-1 from another MacManus corner. Aiden Titley’s first for the club completed the first-half scoring.
Town were dominant after the break, Barrow adding his second. MacManus and Isaac Wykes also found the net but the goal of the match was scored by Brookley Gilmour.
Coaches Skinner and MacManus said: “After a slow 10 minutes, we pressed early an hard and put the pressure on Moors. It was great to see Marcus Robinson play a full match after injury problems. Six points from two games is a great start but we take nothing for granted.”
