The Exmouth 2 Women’s Cricket team are celebrating a third-placed finish in the Devon Women’s Indoor League after defeating Exwick by 29 runs.

The Exmouth team compiled an excellent 96 runs, with some fine partnerships throughout, and defended that target with relative comfort, restring Exwick to a total of 67.

Women’s training for the outdoor season commences on April 20 from 6.30pm and will be every Thursday evening, with plenty of playing opportunities throughout the summer. New players are welcome, regardless of experience, contact giles.colton@lineone.net for details.

Elsewhere at the Maer, refurbishment work on the dressing room area is almost complete, thanks to help from the ECB County Grand and funds raised by the club. The new spaces are now fit to accommodate all sections of the club, including men’s, women's, Colts and girls’ team, with new flooring, windows, doors, benches, toilets and basins.
