South-West Road Runners and the Exe Valley Rotary Club hosted the tough Feighan Fury 10-mile event at Templeton to celebrate the life of local running legend Mike Feighan.

It was a challenging 10-mile multi-terrain race around private land in the rolling hills of Mid-Devon. 

Winner Simon Minting said afterwards: “It was an honour to have come first in the Feighan Fury 10-mile multi-terrain race and to win his memorial trophy in its first year. Lots of mud, river crossings and plenty of hills! Perfect.”

Results: 1st Simon Minting 1.11.34; 3rd Anthony Hatchard 1.14.09 2nd M40; 13th Dave Stone 1.20.54 2nd M50; 43rd Jimmy Joy 1.29.08 3rd M60; 63rd Jenny Reay         1.34.52 1st W60.

The Exmouth Harriers Men (Simon, Anthony, Dave & Jimmy) were the first team to complete the course.

The Tavy 13 course took runners to the south-west of Dartmoor, with some spectacular scenery included in one of the most visually pleasing runs in the calendar.

The start was on the Tavistock Athletic Club running track and the first half of the course was undulating, with the last five miles mainly flat and downhill. Coming back into the town of Tavistock through the beautiful Meadows Park, the runners finished back on the running track. Exmouth Harrier Dave Tomlin finished fifth in a time of 1.27.20 1st M50.

James Storey took on the challenging, scenic multi-terrain Total Coastal Ultra (50km). The route was all on the South West Coast Path with over 6,000 ft of ascent. Starting in Kingswear running through Torbay and finishing at the picturesque Ness at Shaldon, with views across the River Teign. James finished in 7.37.39

Set in the heart of Cardiff's historic Bay, the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10km was a flat, fast and friendly event for all ages and abilities. Results: 375th Catarina Goncalves 42.59; 392nd Eduardo Rosete 43.19.
