On Friday, February 24, eight players from Chardstock Bowls Club travelled to Budleigh for their annual Indoors match.
On Rink 2, the Chardstock quartet led by their Skip Gill Campbell gave the Budleigh players a run for their money and at the halfway point, the scores were equal at six shots each.
The Budleigh team of Mo Bond, Melissa Camp, Mike Clark and Andy Skudder then drew ahead and won by the narrowest of margins, 15-14.
Meanwhile, on the other Rink, the Budleigh Team of Margaret Avery, John Dill, Tony Mackness (Club Captain) and Anne Vincent had a much easier passage and ended up the winners 18-8. This gave Budleigh an overall victory of 33-22
Chardstock have only Outdoor Rinks at their Club and Gill Campbell said: "Our players really enjoy their visits to Clubs with indoor facilities and we look forward to welcoming Budleigh when they visit us in May.”
