Six players from Sidmouth visited Budleigh for a Mixed Triples match and the home side rattled off an impressive 37-23 victory.
The team of Ann Vincent, Tony Lim and David Tomlinson got off to a flying start and at half-time were leading 10 Ends to 5. After the break, the team continued with their winning form and won the game 21-9.
Tony Mackness (Club Captain), Andy Skudder and Mo Bond played a hard-fought match and, with two ends to play, they were leading by 16-8. Sidmouth then won the final two ends with six shots, leaving Budleigh the narrow winners, 16-14.
Tony Lim is in his 94th year and many members at Budleigh regard him as one of the most consistent bowlers in the Club. Tony Mackness commented: "It is always a pleasure to play with Tony Lim and I hope I am still bowling at his age!"
