Budleigh Bowls Club visited ISCA for a MIxed Triples match and, despite their best efforts, the two teams from Budeligh both came home without a win.
The team of NIck Jones, Ann Vincent and Margaret Avery lost by 3-27, whilst the second team of Phillipa White, Melissa Camp and Andy Skudder put up a spirited fight and narrowly lost 18-22.
Phillipa was playing her first match for Budleigh, having joined the Club through their relationship with u3a, and commented: "I was somewhat nervous playing my first Inter-Club match, and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere that existed between all the players."
Budleigh hosted a Ladies Triples match against Madeira, who kindly loaned Myra Furminger to play alongside Budleigh members Ann Vincent and Margaret Avery. They lost a tight game 13-16, whilst the home team of Annie Clarke, Melissa Camp and Mo Bond came out the winners 15-14, giving Madeira an overall win of 30-28.
