At the end of October, a Masonic team came to Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club to play a Mixed Triples match and it turned out to be a superb match, with the home team just edging a narrow victory by five points.
The Masonic players came from far afield, with 2 players coming from Plymouth and Teignmouth. The Budleigh team of MIke Clark, Norman Upchurch and Mo Bond had a very close game but lost 16-18.
On the other Rink, the team of Ann Vincent - Captain of the Day, Tony Gooding and John Dill got off to a slow start but after the tea break, they found their form and went on to win 18-11. This gave Budleigh an overall win of 34-29.
Ann Vincent commented: "It is always a pleasure to welcome Masonic to Budleigh, especially as their players make the effort to travel so far."
