Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club are getting in the swing of the winter season and enjoyed their weekend on the greens with a confident victory over local rivals Madeira from Exmouth.
Played on their home patch in a Mixed Triples, the Budleigh team of Ann Vincent, Melissa Camp and David Tomlinson got the hosts off to a flying start, as they secured an entertaining 20 – 15 win to set the tone for the day.
Meanwhile on the second Rink, the team of Tony Lim, Andy Skuder and Captain of the day Mo Bond were also on good form and were the victors 21 - 12, giving Budleigh an overall win of 41 - 27.
Mo commented: "This was an excellent result and we are looking forward to our visit to Madeira on December 28 for the return game.”
Great play from Budleigh and a good start to the winter season.
