The Madeira Outdoor Section held its AGM and Brian Poulter thanked those who had acted as Team Captains for the Internal Tuesday and Thursday Triples Leagues.
Team 5 won the Tuesday league comprising Clive Brinkworth, Gordon Medlock, David Hitt, Alan Child, Bob Finch, Alan Trevarthen and Vic Doidge. Ron Cook and his team of Bob Walker, Roy ‘Gill, Dave Atkinson, Jen Bellamy, Mike Cosway and Chris Smith were successful in the Thursday Triples. Well done to both teams.
Roger Williams reported on the external Over 60s League in which Madeira had an impressive 5 teams participating. Madeira A finished 5th in Division 1, Madeira B and E were 3rd and 75th respectively in Division 3. Madeira C finished 5th in Division 4 and very well done to Madeira D who were runners-up in Division 7 and have been promoted. Madeira finished fifth in the Exeter and District League.
