Following a week of unsettled weather, the sun shone brightly at Cricket Field Lane for the much-anticipated Finals Weekend for Budleigh Bowlers.
In all, nine games were played and in the Ladies 2 Wood Competition, Rosemary Carter performed brilliantly to beat Mo Bond 17-3. Mo found her form the following day and in the 106 Competition, when she played Penny Weeks. The game was played in tricky conditions due to the heavy overnight dew, and after a closely fought game, Mo came away with a 107-91 Win.
Penny was on the green again later, this time playing Marilyn Foreman in the 4 Wood Championship and Penny came away the winner with a final score of 21-13.
Marilyn was also involved in the Otter Cup, which is a 4 Wood competition for Novices and playing against Margaret Avery, Marilyn came away with a 22-6 win.
