East Budleigh Reserves returned to the top of Macron League Division Seven with a comprehensive 6-0 victory at Starcross-based side HT Dons last Saturday, writes Mark Auton.
In control from the off, Budleigh dominated the game with goals coming from Jack Howarth, Jack Hocking, Craig Leaman, an own goal, a fine chip from Luke Kelsall and a great strike from Matt Tidmarsh.
When threatened, the Budleigh defence were well protected by Gav Russell, whilst both Tidmarsh and Callum Wade produced some excellent wing play. This Saturday (November 24), the Budleigh second string host Broadclyst, while the first team, who were without a game on the penultimate Saturday of November, return to Division Three action at Newton St Cyres. Both games kick-off at 2.15pm.
