With six weeks of competition in the Budleigh Wednesday Triples League complete, Teams Ash and Beech head the pack with four wins each.
Two consecutive wins for Team Beech have seen Nicola Lowe, Tony Mackness and skip Paul Griffin fighting back to win 13-11 against Team Willow. Gwen Hurst, Tony and Paul then joined forces for the second match for another late fight back against Team Elm for a 14-11 victory.
Team Ash - Jackey Phillips, Mike Killoran and skip Tony Lim sealed their fourth win in a tight contest with Team Oak with Tony turning defeat into victory on the last end with some impressive accuracy to take the match 16-13.
Team Oak have only recorded one win so far this season, Peter Cooper, Norman Upchurch and David Tomlinson winning 14-8 against Team Elm.
In the only friendly mixed match held at the club, the Budleigh bowlers recorded an overall win against Topsham 29-25.
