East Budleigh had to settle for a point after sharing six goals with Topsham Town 2nds, as the Jays led 2-0 at the break, found themselves 3-2 down and then grabbed a dramatic late equaliser.

The opening goal arrived in the 10th minute, when Jack Howarth swung in a corner and the ball dropped to Jack Greenslade to finish. On 33 minutes, Budleigh doubled their lead; Greenslade picked up a pass from Liam West and found Rian Hill, who produced an accomplished finish.

The away side cranked up the pressure after the restart. Jack England cleared off the line and ‘keeper Mark Bown saved again, but two goals in two minutes brought the scores level.

Ryan Britton joined the action for Budleigh, but it was Topsham that struck again in the 86th minute. The visitors were denied all three points when a deep cross from Hugo Demetre was bundled over the line by Greenslade.
