THE mystery of how a Citroen convertible left in a Budleigh Salterton car park was found in a different spot has been solved.

Red and black Citroen convertible owner Zoe Hailes, 29, from Cardiff, and her boyfriend Nick Howard, 35, of Moormead, Budleigh, had been appealing for information as to how the car had moved - despite no signs of a break-in.

But town council clerk Jo Vanstone this week said she had spotted the vehicle rolling backwards down the car park and had called the police after it came to rest on the pavement at the entrance.

Zoe and Nick said they had been wracking their brains to get to the bottom of the mystery. The couple believed pranksters were responsible.
