LITTLEHAM youth club members have planted trees in an attempt to improve a neglected area of ground in the village.

LITTLEHAM youth club members have planted trees in an attempt to improve a neglected area of ground in the village.Five members of Littleham youth club Chill teamed up with members of Littleham in Bloom to plant trees including Field Maple, Hazel, Silver Birch, Rowan and Quick thorn.Once established, the trees will form a natural hedge which is part of an overall project to improve a neglected area of Littleham.Littleham in Bloom vice-chairman Richard Tugwell said: "This is the first time we have involved members of Chill outside of their regular Friday evening activities. "The occasion has been particularly rewarding, as the group were brimming with energy and keen to learn. "We are looking forward to organising similar activities with Chill and other groups within the community as the season gets underway.
