Work is due to start on Topsham's new community hub

Construction costing £2million on a brand-new community hub for Topsham is set to begin later this month.

The new hub is being built on the site of the former ‘pre-fab’ Topsham library, now run by Estuary League of Friends.

It will have a day room, community café and kitchens, exercise and fitness room, a laundry, serviced offices and much-improved library facilities, and should be open by summer 2018.

“It’s incredibly exciting that work is starting at last. We’ll be able to provide better services than ever before,” said League of Friends chief executive Rachel Gilpin. Anyone interested in volunteering should ring Rachel on 01392 879009.
