The partnership behind the Plumb Park development in Exmouth has announced that work is due to begin and hopes to have the homes ready for summer 2018.

Work is due to begin this month on a 264-home development at Plumb Park.

The site, on land near Buckingham Close in Littleham, has been earmarked for 350 homes.

A partnership between developer Taylor Wimpey Exeter and Littleham 2010, a Clinton Devon Estates company, got given permission to build 264 homes on the site earlier this year. A quarter of the site will be affordable housing.

Now work is due to begin to create two, three and four-bedroom homes with the aim of them being launched for sale in summer 2018.

Leigh Rix, head of property and land for Clinton Devon Estates, said: “For well over five years we have been working with specialist master planners and architects to produce a development that will not only fulfil the current and future housing need in Exmouth but will also provide a prestigious addition to the town.”
