A charity has thanked a kind-hearted Woodbury Salterton business for its donation of £1,065.

The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) is dedicated to ensuring people who are affected by blood cancers and blood disorders receive compassionate tailored support.

The Digger’s Rest restaurant held a charity quiz and raffle night for ELF.

Ruth Douglas, fundraiser for The Exeter Leukaemia Fund, said donations were vital to the charity’s long-term future.

She said: “We are so grateful to all of the people and businesses who give up their time to fundraise for us. As a charity, we rely on donations for the bulk of our income.”
