Woodbury homes plan lodged

Proposals for 15 new homes in Woodbury have been lodged with district planners by developers, five months after a public exhibition highlighting the plans.
Badger Homes want to build the homes, including 10 ‘affordable’ homes and five ‘open market’ homes at the rear of the development, on land adjacent to Primley Town Lane.
The site is on the south-eastern edge of Woodbury, sandwiched between existing homes and fields.
The plans follows a public exhibition on June 27 at Woodbury Village Hall.
In the planning support statement, developers say that the plans would ‘not produce a shortfall’ of places at Exmouth Community College and they would not need to contribute to the local education authority.
The plans will now be considered by statutory consultees including Woodbury Parish Council, the Environment Agency and the Highways Agency before a final decision is made by district planners.
The planning support statement states: “We have presented our scheme to Woodbury Parish Council and carried out a public consultation exercise with the aim of improving our proposals.
“In relation to the scope of public consultation, we believe that we have been thorough in our approach.
“We have consulted various parties including neighbours and the people of Woodbury parish.”
