Person injured after single vehicle collision near Woodbury Castle

Police say a car left the road colliding with a tree near Woodbury Castle this morning (Friday, September 15) leaving a person with chest and leg injuries.

A person has been taken to hospital after a single car collision on the B3180 near Woodbury Castle this morning.

Emergency services were called at around 8.55am after reports of a road traffic incident on the bend near Woodbury Castle.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said a Fiat Punto left the road and hit a tree.

Police, paramedics and fire fighters are currently on the scene and the road has been closed between the Four Firs junction and Woodbury Castle.

A person with chest and leg injuries will be taken to hospital. These injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Update: Devon and Cornwall Police traffic watch say the road has now re-opened.
