Women’s branch of legion to end

PUBLISHED: 12:30 10 September 2016

Members past and present are being invited to attend the last-ever meeting of the Women’s Branch of the Royal British Legion, Littleham.

The branch is coming to an end following a decision by the Royal British Legion nationally to close all women’s branches within the next 12 months, and integrate its women’s section within the main charity.

Therefore, the Littleham branch, which first met in 1948, has decided to hold its final meeting next Wednesday, September 14, at 7pm, at Bidmead Community Centre, Littleham Road.

All members, former members and friends of the branch are invited to attend. Refreshments will be available.
