Woman treated for leg injury after collision on the B3179 near Woodbury

A woman has suffered a leg injury after a collision involving a yellow Citroen and van on the B3179 near the Four Firs junction.

Police were called to the scene near Woodbury at 7.43am. The fire service was also called to deal with smoke coming from the car.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said the driver of the van is being treated by paramedics after sustaining potential whiplash injuries.

The spokesperson added the woman’s injuries are not ‘life threatening.’

The Highways Agency was also called to clean up an oil spillage on the road.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed the road is now open.
