AN ELDERY woman was treated by paramedics after a car in which she was travelling overturned and landed on its roof in a stream.
AN ELDERY woman was treated by paramedics after a car in which she was travelling overturned and landed on its roof in a stream.
Two fire crews were called to deal with the incident which happened at 3.40pm yesterday afternoon, November 28, in Fore Street, Budleigh Salterton.
An off duty fire officer in the area confirmed a car on its side with an elderly female trapped. The airbag in the vehicle had been deployed. The vehicle was found on its side in a ditch.
A spokesperson for the fire authority said: “One elderly female was released by fire service staff assisted by ambulance personnel. Small tools were in use.”
The police also attended.
