Woman 'talked back' from Exmouth cliffs

Police and Beer Coastguard were called out on Monday (October 2) to talk a woman back from cliffs in Exmouth.

Emergency services were called out to Exmouth sea front, on Monday (October 2), to talk a woman back from the cliff edge.

Devon and Cornwall Police say officers were called at around 8.50pm and reports of a ‘concern for welfare’ of a woman in her 20s.

Coastguards from Beer also attended to help Exmouth Coastguard teams and police as they engaged with the woman.

Posting on social media, Beer Coastguard said: “A female was talked back from the cliff edge to safety by police and taken into care by the ambulance service.”

Police added that the woman was left in the care of healthcare professionals.
