Woman ‘crushed by car’ in Woodbury critically ill

A woman is critically ill in hospital after reportedly being crushed by her own car in Woodbury, police have said.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said officers were called to the incident in Park Close just after 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday).

Ambulance and fire crews also attended.

The woman, in her 70s, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, then transferred to Derriford Hospital, where she is in a critical but stable condition.

Police are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who saw the incident to call 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 716 for September 15.
