THE Spar shop on Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth, has made it through to the final of a competition to find the neighbourhood store of the year.
Manager Roy Calland said he was delighted to have been nominated for the awards which recognise excellence across the convenience retail sector.
Mystery shoppers will visit a number of regional finalists including the Withycombe Village Road outlet in the autumn to determine who goes through to the national final in Loch Lomond in December.
Roy said: "We are obviously very pleased to have been nominated.

"It is even more gratifying to have been put forward because customers had to complete forms and judge us in order for us to get to this stage.
"We pride ourselves on good customer service and endeavour to look after everybody. It is nice to be appreciated."
