Withycombe Raleigh Primary School holds Christmas jumper day

Pupils from an Exmouth primary school prepared for the Christmas holidays by wearing festive jumpers.

The youngsters were asked to go to school wearing their most festive tops to raise awareness of Save the Children.

At the end of the final day of term, children were given links to the donation page.

Withycombe Primary School also held its annual Christmas fair.

The event, organised by the PTFA, was opened by Exmouth town crier Roger Bourgein and raised £3,000 for the school.

Youngsters took part in a no-parents-allowed zone, where they picked a gift to wrap for their mum or dad.

There was also a Santa’s grotto, games, stalls and a barbecue.
