EXMOUTH residents get the chance to win 100 by naming the town’s latest bar.
The former Roddy G’s steakhouse in the Strand is set to open by the end of November as a bar and bistro.
The bar is to become the first of a chain of at least half-a-dozen in towns throughout the region.
But Paul and George Nightingale, of the Royal Beacon Hotel, have been told at the eleventh hour they cannot use the name The Lounge for their new chain of bars because it infringes on the copyright of an existing business.
George said: “Who better to think of a name than people who live in Exmouth?
“The Exmouth branch will be the first and will give residents a sense of ownership.
We don’t much time and thousands of ideas and suggestions are better than just one.”
Entries must be submitted by November 10 via e-mail to: info@exmouthbar.co.uk, adding your name and a contact number.
