Following the success of last year's scarecrow festival in East Budleigh, organisers are wondering if an effigy of a rock legend will return again this year,

One of the scarecrows which drew the most attention at the annual festival in 2016 was one that was created as a tribute to David Bowie, who died last year.

The festival returns on Saturday, June 10, and Sunday, June 11, where more than 200 scarecrows are expected.

There will be creations paying tribute to celebrities ranging from popstars to politicians.

This year will see birds of prey making an appearance, as well as bugs and insects for people to handle.

The duck race returns and there will also be teddy bear’s picnic and a cream tea.

Vintage cars will be on show and the Otter Valley Association is leading a walk around East Budleigh. Visitors can also climb the tower at All Saints Church.
