My wife and I recently had to go to RD&E, Wonford, from Exmouth, on a Saturday afternoon. As a change from using our car, we thought it would be worth taking the bus - a mistake we will not readily make again! The return fare, for the two of us, was 10.80 - an unbelievable amount to go just that distance. How can that sort of price be justified? We could have driven to Exeter and back a number of times, paid for parking, and it would cost less than the bus fare. Where are the incentives to 'go green' and use public transport? I assume Stagecoach will have their reasons to justify such exorbitant charges, but I'm afraid I will find it difficult to believe them. Perhaps they could also state why the driver of the first bus passing our stop decided to totally ignore us, not even bothering to slow down, although we were standing on the edge of the pavement, arm extended. Is it policy to miss certain stops if running late?Public transport? No thanks!Howard Samuel,9 Lawn Road,Exmouth.
