My husband and I say we need an ASDA in Exmouth - Tesco need some competition and Somerfields in the town centre is far too small for a town the size of Exmouth. We owned a small convenience store in Withycombe for 13 years before selling it, so we can see both sides of the argument. The road leading alongside the estuary into the town is not really a good advertisement for the town - the grass bank has been overgrown for most of the summer.By the roundabout, there are empty shops, which have been vacant for years, and the bus station is very much under used for its size. We think the proposed development would be a great asset for the town. We would also like to point out that we were both born and bred in Exmouth and are nearing retirement age and are concerned for the future of Exmouth. Mrs S Thorn, 14 Maristow Avenue, Exmouth.
