A groom who tied the knot on water skis was filmed learning the skill in Exmouth as part of television show Don’t Tell the Bride.
Mark Beasley, Exewake Watersports owner, taught Tommy Rees how to water ski ahead of his marriage to Hannah Bullard in Plymouth.
Mark is hoping the episode, which aired on BBC Three on Tuesday, November 24, will encourage other people to want to learn to waterski in Exmouth.
He said that Hannah was ‘over the moon’ to discover Tommy had learned to waterski for her.
Mark said: “We were over the moon to take part in a popular show that is shown around the country, especially after our water equipment was damaged a year ago following storms in Exmouth.
“We haven’t noticed anything yet, but we’re hoping people who have watched the programme will want to come down to Exmouth and learn to ski.
“Tommy became competent for what he wanted to do. He was able to ski up to his wife and ski with her while they were taking their vows.
“He was very nervous when he first came to us. The weather conditions weren’t great. But once we got him out onto the water he was fine.”
