YOUR readers may recall that, in
the run-up to the General election,
John Kelly - Chairman of UKIP
(Devon east Branch) - took up my
100 wager that his party would not
win a single seat at Westminster. I
am pleased to report I received his
personal cheque today and that has
been forwarded to Lepra's head
office in Colchester, essex.
John Kelly holds to his view that
all Conservative candidates should
be opposed by UKIP, in spite of his
party leader's wish that people
like Bill Cash and David Heathcoat-
Amory should not be opposed
by UKIP.
There could well be another election
in a few months' time if the
coalition fails. We will have to wait
and see if the UKIP leader's advice
is observed then.

Douglas Avenue, Exmouth.
