VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help with a new flu service being provided in Topsham.
With medical chiefs predicting a winter flu surge, the Estuary League of Friends is running a service where volunteers pick up medication on behalf of people who don't live near friends or family.
A spokesperson for the league of friends said: "For those without family or friends nearby, flu friends are volunteers who will pick up any drugs on their behalf.
"Should the flu hit at a time when cupboards are bare, they will possibly help pick up emergency shopping."
