The police are teaming up with volunteers keen to reduce traffic speeds on village roads around Exmouth.
Villages around Exmouth are under the police spotlight as part of an action plan to introduce community speed watch.
Officers at Exmouth have revealed a number of volunteers have come forward keen to help reduce speeding traffic.
Police community support officer Sarah Trayhurn said the volunteers were currently going through a vetting process.
PCSO Trayhurn said: “We hope to have a community speed watch up and running by the end of the year. This will enable residents to work in partnership with the police to increase awareness and drive down the speeds in our rural villages.”
