Archant

Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton Friends of FORCE collected more than 100 teddy bears to offer as prizes at the charity’s recent tombola.

The group is always keen to recruit new volunteers to help raise funds or awareness of the cause.

Spokeswoman Nickie Mallett, pictured here with Jill Fry, and Sue Newson, said volunteering was flexible.

“You may have a couple of hours to spare now and then or just be able to help out at one of our events.

“Whatever time you have, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t have to join a committee, just come along, maybe bring a friend, and do something worthwhile and very fulfilling.”

Jill Fry said: “So many people come up to us at events to tell us about all the ways FORCE has supported them, or their loved ones, and to say thank you. It’s so rewarding.”
